Applies to: Version 5.0
In PastPerfect 5.0 there is initially one "Default" record in each of the 4 catalogs (Object, Photos, Archives, and Library). This default record will not have an Object ID, and can be used to prefill data fields to streamline data entry.
When the Security is activated, each user login has the ability to select or create their own default record in each of the four catalogs. When a “New Blank Default Data Record” is created, it will not have an Object ID.
If you attempt to delete a record that is another user’s default record, the program will display the following message, "This record is the default data record for 'user name' and cannot be deleted."
If this user login is no longer in use, you will need to log into PastPerfect as a user with the ability to access Security and delete users. Once this is complete, then the default records created by that user can be deleted.
