PastPerfect Web Edition allows you to use your email address to send letters, documents, and images from within the software once you have set up your SMTP settings.
Before starting, please verify your SMTP settings, email address, and password.
In PastPerfect Web Edition, go to Settings, then select Email Settings.
On this screen, select the "Use custom SMTP settings" option. Enter the Host Name (your SMTP path), Return Email Address, Return Name for Replies, Login Name, Login Password, and Port Number.
To verify your settings are correct, go to a Contact record (your own or someone designated to receive test emails). Click the Letters button at the top right, select a letter from the drop-down menu, and click Send Email. If you get a message at the top right saying the email was sent successfully, verify with the Contact that they received the email. If you get a message saying Operation Failed, verify the email address on the Contact record and your email settings to ensure they are correct.
